Excited to share the latest results on our 'Fertiliser for Grain Legumes' project, outlining the work being undertaken by Living Farm with @theGRDC across WA. It's about species and soil - not rules of thumb!
Yesterday we sowed an exciting trial as part of a student collaboration with @WAAgCollab and @GGA_WA. We look forward to working with Chris as he completes his honours, and also show growers over this site throughout the year! #WAARC#GGA#HonoursProgram
A great team effort at Piawanning this week, putting a range of legume trials in, including this herbicide in legumes trial. Awesome work to everyone involved, it’s great to see the preparation pay off, and the trial being sown! @GRDCWest
2026 seeding is off to a flying start with decent falls in some areas off the back of Cyclone Narelle.
This site at Beacon was sown last week, with team members Andrew, James and Jasmine.

What an absolute pleasure to get on stage and present 3 years of findings to date at the Perth @GRDCWest updates.
With only a minor technical difficulty on the most important slide - 3 years of results.
Shout out to @Living_Farm for all the help to pull this off.
A huge thank you to Pip Payne as she retires after an incredible career in agriculture.
For the past 6 years at Living Farm, Pip has brought enthusiasm, positivity and commitment to our NVT program. It’s been a pleasure learning from your experience and working alongside you.
A fantastic discussion and turnout to the Southern Dirt Field Day where we showcased one of our @GRDCWest Fertilising Grain legumes trial sites. The trials are looking at Phosphorus response curves in grain legumes. Well done Gemma for presenting!
Did you attend a field walk where matricaria trial results were discussed? We are chasing some feedback on this year’s trial work to ensure we are delivering a benefit back to growers. If you have 5 minutes - please fill out the attached survey.

Checking out this beautiful lentil breeding site with Agvic’s lentil enthusiasts Audrey, Jasmine and Ash. Curious to know about herbicide options, we have implemented our own herbicide tolerance trial at this site, great info coming from here and applicable to growers!
Fantastic to host a South American group of agronomists and researchers today. We visited some trials, our facilities and local farmers. Many shared challenges in the agronomy space. Fantastic questions! A pleasure to host!
Great to have our young and upcoming research agronomists Gemma, Shwatank and Leah present at the Fitzgerald Biosphere Group Spring Field day. We presented at the GGA legume vs cereal trial and the @GRDCWest legume nutrition trial. Thanks for hosting us!
Gemma and Leah have been doing the rounds checking out and presenting at our GRDC Fertilising Grain Legumes project sites. @GRDCWest some great trials, with enthusiastic and fantastic trial hosts! Thanks to all involved.
A great day out yesterday with our local grower group! Canola virology, wheat and barley varieties, oats cropping challenge, new hervidice option in cereals and Lupins, alternative knockdown strategies and fertility legumes! Thanks to everyone that contributed!
Great to see lentils thriving in the WA wheatbelt! This trial is looking a treat. We’ve been working with lentil breeders and growers to evaluate traits and varieties over a number of years, and love seeing trial sites like this, clean, and gathering information for industry!
