This is a hard article to read, but I hope you'll do so. I've spent some time reporting on widespread rape and other sexual violence of Palestinian male and female prisoners by Israeli authorities, and the article is now published. The assault victims were warned not to give speak of what they endured -- they were sometimes told they would be killed or raped if they gave interviews -- but they found the courage to do so. One man described being raped three times in a single day in Israeli prison, the third time after he tried to protest. A young woman said the guards would come in at the beginning of each shift and strip her naked and abuse her. Another reported that she was shown photos of herself being raped and warned they would be released unless she cooperated with Israeli intelligence. Even three children who had been detained told me they had been sexually abused. Look, whatever our position on the Middle East, we should be able to agree on being anti-rape. Sexual assaults were horrific when Israeli women were targeted on Oct. 7, and they're equally horrific when Israeli authorities use them against Palestinians day after day after day. We should be able to find common ground in opposing rape. Here's a gift link to the article: https://t.co/aMMHId49OO
Naif Samaro was about to be a new father. Israeli troops gunned him down outside the hospital while his wife gave birth.
He’s among the 42 Palestinians killed by Israeli soldiers and settlers in the West Bank since January 2026.
27-year-old Anabel Mendoza used the Illinois 7th District Democratic primary debate to confront her rivals for being “bought and sold” by AIPAC and corporate PAC linked funding, drawing sharp lines over the role of pro-Israel donors in the race.
➤ Melissa Conyears-Ervin, Chicago City Treasurer — Mendoza urged her to resign, blasting her for taking AIPAC-money and saying she doesn’t represent the people.
➤ Jason Friedman — Absent from the stage, but hit for receiving AIPAC-aligned funding.
➤ Anthony Driver Jr., community organizer — “I really like you… but Michael and Carrie Sachs gave you $7,000… Are you going to return that money?”

Since it’s Black History Month, I wanna share the story of James “Jim” McHarris — a Black trans man whose life was profiled in EBONY (Nov. 1954).
His story is messy, human, and a reminder that trans history isn’t new.
i feel it’s mainly older gen z from 22-26 who are struggling to establish adult lives for themselves due to shitty job market and overall everything being unaffordable so they are romanticizing their teenage years
Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs is calling for an end to the state’s data-center tax breaks.
The state has already lost $38.5 million to these big tech tax breaks, and after public outcry the governor is saying it's time to end these exemptions.
Donald Trump announces the United States carried out a “large scale strike” against Venezuela and captured Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro and his wife.
The US should expand the House to 1165.
This is done by changing the Wyoming rule to make the standard seat size be half of the smallest state's population meaning every state must have at least 2 seats.
