I second Mike Rowe’s recommendation that you watch this brief video. I am astonished by the number of professing Christians who are processing the shooting of Alex Pretti through a framework that’s simply disconnected from reality.

Law enforcement officers are not omniscient, and it’s irrational and cruel to expect that they can respond in an insanely chaotic situation as though they are. That’s why citizens should understand both their rights and responsibilities, so these tragic situations will be avoided.

IT'S TIME! ⏲️📷 The Broomfield Police Department Community Academy (formerly the Citizen’s Academy) has been refreshed with exciting new updates. The academy will now be 10 weeks in length, reduced from the previous 15 weeks, and will run continuously with no breaks between instructional blocks. Additionally, session length has been adjusted. Classes will now run for three hours per session, increased from two and a half hours. These changes are intended to streamline the program while maintaining the quality of instruction and community engagement.
