New York's shrinking millionaire population is coming with a massive price tag.
A new analysis shows that even before Zohran Mamdani became mayor, the Empire State missed out on nearly $11 billion in tax revenue after its share of the nation's millionaires fell from 12.7% to 8.7% between 2010 and 2022 — the largest decline of any state.
Now, concerns are growing that Mayor Zohran Mamdani's calls to "tax the rich" could accelerate the exodus of wealthy residents and businesses.
The analysis warns that if New York had maintained its previous share of U.S. millionaires, the state would have collected roughly $10.7 billion more in personal income tax revenue in 2022 — a gap that critics argue could grow even larger if the self-proclaimed democratic socialist succeeds in raising taxes on the wealthy.
Fascinating to see how Federal Reserve Chair Warsh’s clarity and quality of communication elevate the Congressional hearing as a whole, especially as his reform orientation and intellectual curiosity prove contagious.
A real breath of fresh air after a period of operational slippages and intellectual inertia at the Fed.

Watch out middle and working class voters. New York, California, Connecticut, Illinois and New Jersey already raised taxes on the middle and working class after the upper brackets moved their assets and those states didn’t cut overspending. So did France, the UK, Sweden, Denmark, and Norway.
Mamdani promised to tax the rich to raise more revenue. Meanwhile, New York has lost nearly $11 billion in tax revenue tied to the long-term exodus of millionaires. What do you think?

"We're not arguing over marginal tax rates anymore. We're arguing on whether or not freedom is going to survive."
Speaker of the House Mike Johnson sounds the alarm on the modern Democratic Party, warning that progressive policies targeting law enforcement and the prison system pose a direct threat to American families.
Johnson argued that today's political divide goes far beyond typical legislative debates, framing the current ideological battle as a fight for the nation's core foundation.

NEW YORK VS. FLORIDA: New York is estimated to have lost $10.7 billion in tax revenue as its share of America’s millionaires declined, while Florida gained $20.65 billion in income from people moving into the state. Now, critics fear Zohran Mamdani’s tax agenda could drive even more wealth out of New York. One state is bleeding money, the other is cashing in.

Deutsche Bank projects today’s CPI and Wednesdays PPI releases will show a drop in inflation coinciding with a roughly 9% drop in gas prices in recent weeks. Deutsche Bank projects that inflation will drop to 3.81% annually. Economists repeatedly say the U.S. is not going to get Biden-era record inflation of 9% anymore because monetary policy is under control. Biden’s historic inflation was driven by Biden’s inflationary policies and the Federal Reserve under Jerome Powell blowing out the Fed balance sheet and doubling it from $4.17T to $8.97T to support Covid-era spending. That’s new Fed money printing and that was monetary inflation.
Thousands to tens of thousands of California regulations apply to Tesla’s California operations when counting individual regulatory provisions across all California agencies. @elonmusk has said that California has become so heavily regulated that “California has made almost everything illegal.” He also said that California’s gone from “a land of opportunity to the land of taxes, over-regulation and litigation” and that the state needed “a serious cleaning out of the pipes.”
A large manufacturer like Tesla is subject to regulations, for example, from the DMV in the state, California Air Resources Board, labor agencies, environmental agencies, consumer protection laws, workplace safety rules, tax rules, and many others. @Tesla@Teslaconomics@Tesla_AI@x@EveningEdit@FoxBusiness@FoxNews@ap@GavinNewsom@TheChiefNerd #elonmusk #musk
Gavin Newsom Says Elon Musk is ‘Turning His Back’ on California

Because the 20% shipping fee proposed by the Trump administration on the Strait of Hormuz targets cargo value rather than deadweight or physical volume, exact revenue projections are highly speculative. The total value of cargo (mostly crude oil and LNG) flowing through the strait is roughly $600 billion annually. A 20% fee on this volume implies a theoretical maximum gross revenue of $120 billion a year.
Lots of questions here-where are the Logan Act charges/probes? Are we really to believe that a top official directly reporting to Zohran Mamdani suddenly went rogue and set up a meeting with the top ranking Iranian in the USA without the mayor’s knowledge? And if that’s not a fireable offense then what is? Why is she still in this position? A key question also is what message was she — or Mamdani — delivering to the Iranians?
Commissioner Ana María Archila, who leads Mayor Mamdani's Office for International Affairs, planned to meet with Iranian UN Ambassador Amir-Saeid Iravani. Iran is a designated sponsor of terror in the U.S. and in dozens of other nations including the EU. Amnesty International and human rights watchdogs have long documented its horrific crimes against humanity, including raping women and girls to death.
Where are the Logan Act charges? Where’s her foreign agent registration?
Logan Act: Under 18 U.S. Code § 953, it is a felony for any unauthorized U.S. citizen to correspond or negotiate with a foreign government intending to influence its conduct in relation to disputes with the U.S. A conviction under this act can result in up to 3 years in prison. #news #breakingnews #BREAKING @NYCMayor@ZohranKMamdani@x@ap@Reuters@FoxBusiness@EveningEdit@FoxNews@foxnewsalert@CNN@CBSNews@ABC@NBCNews #mamdani
