@sbearbergman Helping them to be independent has been an ongoing invisible task: ordering for themselves in restaurants, walking to school by themselves, navigating public transit, doing laundry, preparing food - all the practical skills take way more work to teach than to do.

So reading that the medication I was prescribed because I felt so absolutely compelled to breastfeed over any other thing I could provide my son, including a safe and healthy mom, broke my heart once again this morning, when I thought this was all very far behind me.
