“It’s a Wonderful Life” with @TedLasso commentary is an early Christmas present
So many analogy wins throughout.
Question though: Does the movie make Roy Kent cry?
As a senior in HS when the State Meet was over I felt like the sport had ended. I had that same empty feeling at the end of College CC.
Boy was I wrong.
If only I knew then what I know now. RUNNING NEVER ENDS and like the most loyal friendship it is always there when you need it.
Simon showed up to States determined to PR and make all state and when Simon says he’s going to do something he does! He represented SMCC, finishing 27th, All State! Thank you Simon for racing with tenacity and leaving it all on the course every race! @SMCCMonroe@AthleticsSMCC
The SMCC Girls XC team finished 25th at States. This group went from not winning at any invites last year to being State Qualifiers! Thank you ladies for giving your very BEST all season! 💚💛@AthleticsSMCC@SMCCMonroe@MonroeSports

Mentally Tough Athletes:
Learn from failure
Never give up
Limit distractions
Make wise choices
Face adversity
Put the team 1st
Accept coaching
Compete
Outwit opposition
Hit their “reset button” often
Have internal motivation
Show passion/drive
Reframe mind after mistakes/losses
Coaching is one of the best decisions I’ve ever made, especially when I get to be with this incredible group of athletes!!! Congratulations to the SMCC Women’s XC team on a 3rd place finish and the SMCC Men’s XC team on a 1st place finish! @SMCCMonroe@AthleticsSMCC@MonroeSports
For a portion of your day or weekend, imagine you are in the 1990s again:
-Do hard things, occasionally feeling discomfort
-Go outside. Spend time in nature.
-Take your online conversations offline.
-Go do things. Real experiences, in the real world, with real people.
