@FrankDonato28 Clearly my ignorance is showing. Thought MacBooks were fairly high-value (solid aluminum block vs. mixed plastic bodies of many laptops) and unlikely to get sent downstream. Recyclers that are passing on them don't have the facilities to extract value? Or what?

Ever you ever bought tech that should still work but then the manufacturer stopped providing updates or cut server support?

Artist-provocateur @thevonwong is taking on #ewaste and #righttorepair with this awesome new exhibit in Arcadia Earth. Anyone in Toronto should go check it out, but for the rest of us, they've got a great BTS on YouTube: https://t.co/kgZ1HFbyw8
Just had a great chat with Arianna Medel from @SenGonzalez33's office. Senator Gonzalez has supported Right to Repair two years in a row, and we're counting on her support again this year!
Yes, @latimes! The new anti-trash mantra SHOULD be reduce, recycle — and repair. That’s why we’re meeting with California state senators today about passing #RightToRepair laws like #SB244 https://t.co/2VhRd0tIK0
