He crossed my mind. I didn’t want the thought to fade too quickly without gently holding it and turning it over. Then I silently prayed for him - peace, joy - a word or two to float him into the loving light. Whether he knows it or not, it counts.

Listening to frightened young voices recount the life altering witness of violent death is heartbreaking. But we must all listen. They are our children. This is our pain.

Surrender to God is not just about salvation. It’s basking in God’s over the top lavish surrender to us, that love that will not let us go.

Trust the truth and beauty of God’s word more than the pain or failure of any moment. The moment will pass. God’s love will not.
