The Commission is seeking feedback on a possible targeted amendment of #EMFAF. The aim is to gather evidence on how the Fund could be simpler, flexible & easier to implement, while aligning EU law with WTO rules on fisheries subsidies.

At today’s @EU_CoR plenary debate, we exchanged on the future of EU support for fisheries, aquaculture, and the ocean under the next MFF.

Local and regional authorities are key partners in shaping and delivering these policies on the ground. As we move forward with the MFF, we need a funding framework that helps coastal communities innovate and remain resilient and competitive. To achieve this, we must make full use of the new budget architecture to maximise available funds.

🌍 Regions will be key to turning these ambitions into tangible results.
