By a razor-thin 215-208 vote, seven Republicans broke ranks to side with Democrats, hamstringing critical military operations against Iran at a time when decisive action is needed most.

I’ve been a huge Martina McBride fan for decades. Her voice, her songs, they’ve been the soundtrack to so many moments in my life. I’ve seen her live in concert and proudly bought her music for myself and as gifts for others.
But not anymore.

When artists put politics ahead of country, especially for something as big as America’s 250th anniversary, I’m done. This isn’t about Democrats vs. Republicans. It’s about honoring 250 years of freedom. It’s about the men and women who fought, bled, and died to give us this country and keep it free.

The 250th should be a time to unite Americans, not divide us further. Any artist backing out of these celebrations should be ashamed. We need more unity, not more boycotts.
