Talked to a friend who's well outside the AI bubble and reads a lot of philosophy the other night. Talking about new world order, dialectic, power relations, etc.

I said I thought long-term the only story was: as the AI and its handlers gobble up the economy, can they keep the masses placated (with UBI, or new bullshit jobs, or whatever) so they don't burn down the datacenters.
