@joepwaeijen At least you are honest enough to admit that it is not rational🤝🏽
But based on the possible consequences this is not an intelligent stance to take😅
Interesting thread and a good question brother.
Lets take it step by step;
All the work you did, the things you achieved, was it for the sake of God? If no, you are in no position to in the first place expect great things to come your way. So all those beautiful things (in this life) have only come your way out of the mercy of the almighty, wouldn't you agree? Why would you then be entitled to keep those things if you are not even thankful to He who gave it to you?
Then let's move to the argument of thinking that something is good or bad for you. As you said the Almighty is all-knowing, so He knows much much more than you do. Consequentially this means that if we would rationalise who knows if something is good or bad for you, The All-knowing would always know better as He has knowledge of the unseen (past, present and future). This is also where submission to God comes in (which is the definition of a muslim btw).
If this is something you cannot accept as you said, you have a clear problem with rationality😃
Then lastly to answer (to the best of my ability) the question of what you would be living for if everything is already planned. Firstly, that everything is pre decreed goes hand in hand with the fact that we have still been given free choice. For example, I think we would agree that our daily life is fuuulllll of choices. You chose to go to the gym (I hope), you chose to eat or not to eat, you chose to get work done. And then even if you would say that it is already pre decreed who will go to paradise and who will go to hell, it would make no sense for us to just get there directly, before first experiencing a total different existence where we most face a lot of hardship and tests. We only appreciate sunshine as much as we do because we have plenty of times where there is none. We have much more appreciation for food when we have been hungry.
I hope I clarified some things for you👍🏽
Watch how much people speak about things (or make judgments) without having knowledge of those subjects…
Funny but at the same time you feel sorry for them😂
@AlexHeemsk10 Yes I understand that and I definitely find that a respectable intention! But my question still remains unanswered as I am interested in how this for you would have any meaning on the grand perspective of things?
Shaykh Albani (Rahimahullah): "One proof is sufficient for the seeker of truth, but 1000 proofs is not enough for the person of desires"
Agree? if so, why? if not, why?
@withdahw I will correct this for you brother...😉
Imagine being so lost,
You only worry about all the things and variables that happen WITHIN your life, while failing to worry and research about why you have this life in the first place...
Seems backwards to me
Achieving success is a delicate dance between being patient, and at the same time being very impatient with a ferocious work ethic.
Lean too much to one side and you won't get much done. Lean too much to the other side and fall in to the destructive trap of false expectations.⚖️
Everybody has bad days,
Less focused, less efficient etc…
Just make sure though that on your bad days you are still outworking others on their best days.

Don’t overthink it
