Lone Conservative

America's largest conservative student commentary publication

[Lone Conservative @LoConservative]

After eight years, we sadly share that we will be closing our doors. We would like to thank everyone who contributed to, read, and supported us along the way.

[Matthew Noyes (マット・ノイズ) @matt_noyes_]

I have so many fond memories from my time with Lone Conservative. LoCo was a tight-knit community that empowered liberty-minded students like me. I grew as a writer, made new friends, and really felt like a part of the LoCo family. Thank you @KassyAkiva!

[Julia Johnson @juliaajohnson_]

I would not have made the connections I did, the friends I have, or gotten where I am today without both Lone Conservative and @KassyAkiva's mentorship. ❤️🐺

[Samantha Kamman @Samantha_Kamman]

I'll always be grateful to have been part of @LoConservative. It's where I started writing about pro-life topics and other issues. I met wonderful people and even traveled to Israel with some of them.

Thank you, @KassyAkiva, for blessing us with such an amazing opportunity!

[Patricia @IdealPatricia]

I’ll also say — the conservative movement was different pre-Trump.

Owning the libs was the priority & ‘old guard’ didn’t care that the admin at your college would harass & try to expel you for lukewarm GOP takes.

Things are different now. We are in revival mode, not rebellion.

[Kassy Akiva @KassyAkiva]

I started Lone Conservative 8 years ago when I was a college student feeling politically isolated.

Since then we’ve had 500+ contributors who went on to start incredible careers.

Today, we say goodbye. Thank you for the memories and the support. ❤️

[A.J. Ilardi @ailardi8]

I can firmly say I wouldn’t be where I am today without Lone Conservative. Thank you to all the people that I’ve met along the way and for giving me an unparalleled opportunity!

[Scott Howard @ConservaMuse]

LoCo gave me a place to publish when I had no idea where to, a place to try my editorial skills out, and an intellectual home. Today is a sad day.

[Isaac Willour @IsaacWillour]

The end of a great outlet (one that published my first op-ed back in 2021). Shoutout to the crew, most notably @KassyAkiva and @DacePotas for building and maintaining something great. Mad respect all round. 🔥

[Dace Potas @DacePotas]

Lone Conservative has had a massive impact on my life, and I would be nowhere if they didn’t publish my first article when I had zero experience.

Very sad for this chapter to end, but excited to see all we do in the future.

[Lou Scataglia @LouScatagliaPO]

My first published article was with LoCo back in 2017, and I’ve made some lifetime friends through this organization.

Sad to see the shutdown but proud of the mark that was made.

[Patricia @IdealPatricia]

LoCo was a beacon for students like me who felt isolated & wanted to help improve the conservative movement in the 2010s.

It’s also where I met my closest friends ♥️

The movement is in a different place now, in part, because of our alumni.

I’m forever grateful to @KassyAkiva

If one good thing comes from the debate, it might be a good workout!

[Chris Woodward @ReporterChrisW]

This 2020 guide from @LoConservative still seems like it would work tonight if anyone wants to get a few reps in during the #debate. @KassyDillon

[Lone Conservative @LoConservative]

Why did the murder rate go up, Mr. President?

[Joe Biden @JoeBiden]

America is safer today than when I took office.

Last year, the murder rate saw the sharpest decrease in history and violent crime fell to one of the lowest levels in more than 50 years.
