I genuinely think the compulsion of the boomer (maybe even gen x?) generation to write "never heard of them" on any news story about a celebrity needs to be studied.
@TravelEdNigel Nigel, you won't remember me but when I first started at a 'big' agency after doing only regional PR, you were the first national ed I pitched to (I was terrified) and you gave me my first piece of national coverage (St David's Day.) Thank you - wishing you all the very best.
Hyperia thoughts: The drop was insane but I didn't expect it to be so rough!? Is there a seating hack I need to know? (Back for day 2 today)
Swarm was incredible.
Stealth closed all weekend 😢
We were told by a bouncer 40 mins before there was any official announcement, which finally came 5 mins before the first act were due to start. The statement is frankly insulting - no apology, no details about refunds or tonight's gig. Weather can't be helped, the response can.
I don't often comment on other people's Comms because I know better than anyone that sometimes other factors can be at play and PR people are only human and can get it wrong, but Lytham Festival's handling of the cancellation announcement tonight was appalling.

A moment for every hard-working PR person who has fought daily to get their client's / company's good news in the press, only to see today's news cycle dominated by the 'birth' of a fictional pig.
Over 30 meetings with media over two days - done!
Thanks so much to everyone who met with us @TravMedia_UK#IMM2025 - so many new connections made, press trips planned and stories placed 🎢
