Happy World Environment Day!
This is a day that is about people as much as it is about the environment. We are reminded that the future is not something distant. It is shaped by what we do today, in our homes, our communities and in how we support one another.
It is about the communities working to restore their land, families adapting to changing climates, and the children whose futures depend on the choices we make today.
Across East Africa, I continue to see how local action is creating real change. When communities are supported with the right knowledge and opportunities, they can protect their environment while improving their livelihoods.
This gives me hope that a more sustainable and resilient future is possible. 🙏🏽

@jetour_kenya Nairobi to Lokichoggio and Back…that would be one epic and enjoyable ride. Take some detour to the great sand dunes of Lake Turkana on my way back…
On #WorldWaterDay, we recognise the efforts of the Government of CAR and partners to improve #WASH services. But gaps remain: only 48% of households have basic drinking water, 7% basic sanitation, and 12% handwashing with soap. We must keep working together for every child. #CAR
It is heartbreaking that the people of Sudan continue to face such atrocities. Children and women are being targeted in health centres, places meant for healing and safety. This is unacceptable. Hospitals should never be battlegrounds.
We cannot normalise it. We must raise our voices for the protection of innocent lives. The children of Sudan are more vulnerable simply because they are children. They need protection, essential support, and safe spaces where children can still be children, and parents can begin rebuilding their futures.
World Vision continues to show up, serving children and families and responding in the hardest places. The need has not stopped, and neither can we.

10 years before the end of my banking career, I visited OneAccord, the company I lead today.
It was purely a business networking event. I had no idea what the future had in store for me.
Little did I know, I’d be the CEO of the company just 10 years later.
Like Bill Gates once famously said:
“Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years.”
So make sure to have a bold vision for your future, because you can go much farther than you think.
The integration of water and climate policies by the states will be critical to reducing the impact of climate change and global warming. https://t.co/WTUOeK81Oa
