LiUNA Local 837 was chartered on June 18, 1950, today the local represents 5,000 workers in the Hamilton-Niagara, Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo Region.

LiUNA Training Centres are getting youth fired up about careers in construction!
Through hands-on exposure at our LiUNA Construction Awareness Days we are bringing together community, education and local partnerships, showing the next generation what opportunity looks like!
Once complete the project will provide affordable housing for approximately 40 individuals. This will help more people who are experiencing housing challenges to move into affordable stable communities. 2/2

Yesterday Team LiUNA participated in the Around the Bay Road Race! This year team LiUNA raised over $130,000 for vital equipment needs @StJoesHamilton
Over the past 12 years Team LiUNA has raised over 1.3 million dollars since joining the Around the Bay Race!

Today, I celebrated the grand opening of LiUNA Local 837’s new training centre expansion in Cambridge.
Supported by our government’s $8.8 million investment, this facility will help protect thousands of Ontario workers by training them for good-paying, rewarding jobs in the skilled trades.

Today, we honoured two members of LiUNA Local 837 whose commitment spans seven decades. Their hard work helped build not only communities , but opportunities, and a stronger future for generations of workers to come.
Their legacy lives on in every member who follows.
Today, I was deeply honoured to receive my 50-year pin as a proud member of LiUNA.
Receiving this pin alongside the giants of LiUNA who built this union and fought for the broader labour movement was profoundly moving, including two 70+ year Members who worked with my father.
