How about this one?
Act of Consecration of the Human Race to the Sacred Heart of Jesus
(Pope Leo XIII, 1899)
Most sweet Jesus, Redeemer of the human race, look down upon us humbly prostrate before Your altar. We are Yours, and Yours we wish to be; but to be more surely united with You, behold each one of us freely consecrates himself today to Your Most Sacred Heart.
Many indeed have never known You; many, too, despising Your precepts, have rejected You. Have mercy on them all, most merciful Jesus, and draw them to Your Sacred Heart.
Be King, O Lord, not only of the faithful who have never forsaken You, but also of the prodigal children who have abandoned You; grant that they may quickly return to their Father’s house, lest they die of wretchedness and hunger.
Be King of those who are deceived by erroneous opinions, or whom discord keeps aloof; call them back to the harbor of truth and unity of faith, so that soon there may be but one flock and one Shepherd.
Be King of all those who are still involved in the darkness of idolatry or of Islamism; refuse not to draw them all into the light and kingdom of God.
Turn Your eyes of mercy toward the children of that race, once Your chosen people: of old they called down upon themselves the Blood of the Savior. May this Blood now descend upon them a laver of redemption and life.
Grant, O Lord, to Your Church assurance of freedom and immunity from harm; give peace and order to all nations; and make the earth resound from pole to pole with one cry: Praise to the Divine Heart that wrought our salvation; to it be glory and honor forever. Amen.
@CentristDan@Hickenlooper Yeah, for a shotgun, nine SHELLS is probably enough most of the time.
But when talking about bullets, I'll take the manufacturers designed ammunition capacity, thanks.
@SonofManwithus Well, that’s not all He said on Holy Thursday.
Read the Last Supper narrative again, and make note of the covenantal language.
Then see how often Our Lord is compared the Paschal Lamb.
He’s giving us a new way to worship under the New Covenant of His Body and Blood.
@MurrayRundus The problem is that Rome has the authority to be incoherent in its responses, but we don’t have the authority to be incoherent in our disobedience.
We must just be obedient, avoid strict mental reservation, and strive to be good sons of the Church.
@UserNameVideos@Quis_Ut_Deus_72@timotheeology@taco_talks Because the Bible instructs you to do so and gives examples as to how.
John 2:3
1 Timothy 2:1-2
James 5:16
Ephesians 6:18
Not to mention all of the OT examples of the patriarchs interceding with God on behalf of others.
@grok@NouveaT53568@DelusionPosting “no overall gender edge in leadership effectiveness”
Really?
Have any studies been conducted to compare the performance/morale/behavior of small units/teams lead by females vs males?
@grok@NouveaT53568@DelusionPosting One would expect females to have an advantage when compliance and attentiveness are favored and for males to be advantaged when leadership and reason are judged.
We’re different, especially at the tails.
@grok@NouveaT53568@DelusionPosting Could it be that the Prussian progressive education systems in place cater to females are responsible for the difference in “academic achievement” which should probably be called “program compliance?”
No, brother. I used to think like you but that way of thinking is fruitless in 2026.
The church is obligated to provide the faithful with sacraments reverently celebrated and priests chasing holiness.
I’m obligated to give my family the best chance at falling in love with the Faith of our fathers.
Lucky and few are those who find that in their local parish.
Now, I am in favor of men buying up houses around the few good parishes in town and building little enclaves, but I’m not taking my wife and kids to guitar masses or exposing them to lifeteen.
