Fantastically written, produced and acted. One of those rare miniseries that builds the tension and maintains it for so long. Outstanding character development, and one of my favourites of 2026. 9/10

My son just turned 18, and instead of a party (never touched fizzy drink let alone alcohol), he wanted to play blackjack with me at Crown Perth. I try and play $25 Blackjack "Pure" a few times a year, always go for the end box and since I no longer drink I play to my pattern and walk most times in front.

I couldn't believe unless we went to a $50 table we had to play "Plus" where the dealer stands off at 22. Nevertheless we played plus and my sons demeanouer was next level for his first time and when up $175 he said, "Dad let's walk".
I don't know how we won with the odds cruely stacked against us, and the first box doing everything wrong. (Sitting on 15/16 against a 10 and random draws)
I'm not going to go into a politcal rant, but for the young and any aspirational Australian this budget just delivered.........

Neither bull/bear, the market in small cap #gold #silver #copper and #biotech is your classic "Ostrich". Fundamentals largely dismissed, anything remotely negative in concrete or tone is being sold into and no proactive buying. Needs catalysts and a spark to see greed return.

@consequence I'm a huge fan of Faith No More, but Mike Patton at 8 seems like a wasted talent with that vocal range? I've been playing my Ten/Redux version and for pure "uniqueness" Eddie Vedder is a glaring ommisison and likely that whoever compiled it simply forgot to include him.

I wrote a "Niche" work of fiction 22 years ago (revisited), and am working with #ChatGPT to get it to what it considers an 8.5/10. I'm now tempted to grow my hair back so I can pull it out. It simply can't maintain editing consistency, and continually apologising for it. (Paid)

I finished Katla (Netflix) and it's a solid 8/10 and a worthy "cold climate" binge. These two are arguably the most interesting characters from #From and #Katla and whilst one was eventually resolved, we get hints that Sophia (From) drags out to Episode 9.

Two episodes in and already we have a "twist" that will impact how the series eventually wraps up. Still well produced, acted, with a splash of tension and dark humour. It's still in the 8/9 range but can the writers bring this one home (pun intended). Enjoy!

Just getting into it, and so far so good. If anything it's re-invigorated my desire to have a side visit to Iceland, next time I'm heading to 🇭🇺. It even had me looking at Icelandic surf culture but 6mm steamers and booties required. 8/10 thus far
