With the election being tomorrow, I’m going to explain how I went from being called “his ride or die” by Abdul or “his life blood” by other campaign staff.
Even though I resigned in January, I’ve still spent more one on one time with him of any campaign staff. Two campaigns, 6-7 days a week, 12+ hr days, hundreds maybe even slightly over a thousand events, and easily tens of thousands of miles.
During his first campaign in 2017 - 2018, I spent a large portion of my work and limited free time tracking hate groups in Michigan. Obviously given his Islamic faith and his potential to be Governor, it brought out the wealthy bigots in Bloomfield who had monthly meetings to the poorer militia members. I would often attend their gatherings and conduct reports for my database, law enforcement , and SPLC. This is work I was very happy to do, but concern of missing a threat in the mountain of data, was something that woke me up at night.
We would go on to lose the election, I would return to work abroad until he would call me about returning for his Senate campaign. Very quickly I noticed that the very hate ideological framing used against him, had become a tool he used against a different group.
I would unfortunately go on to make excuses for things like jokes about who the real Semites are (implying that Jews aren’t indigenous to land). Caveats for condemnation of Hamas, framed as condemnation, but only for anyone who harms kids (Hamas harms more than just children). Calculated dodges on supporting a 2 state solution, and the use of Zionists as a slur (despite a 2 state solution requiring one be a Zionist Jewish state. I would even engage with him on the left trajectory on a one state the growing support for “resistance” organizations like Hezbollah. All of which he would always be very cagey in his response. These aren’t all of the examples that gave me concern.
For these reasons, and many more, I resigned on principle for my first time in my career. I had no intention of using this platform this way, but then came the March 12, 2026 Synagogue Hezbollah inspired attack, and the Abdul “hurt people hurt people” sympathetic response from Abdul.
I then became committed no matter the outcome or consequences to do what I’ve done. I haven’t been paid nor would I accept any. In the end, hate ideologies are hate ideologies, and political partisan packaging doesn’t change that.
A Taliban-supporting cleric has publicly praised the arrest of Afghan women and girls by the Taliban. He declared that “women do not have the right to look at others with both eyes.”
Afghan women are being erased while the world watches in silence. Where is the UN?
@AOC This post is what is appalling. Each and every day, we wait for you to use your voice to take a moral stand against terrorism and barbaric sexual atrocities perpetrated by Hamas. Yet you use your platform to demonize the desperate voices trying to call attention to the victims
@MikeJCzapla@ChrisCuomo With all due respect, how does one discuss peace with an organization with a stated goal of genocide? An organization who believes that an entire population of ancient people should not be allowed to exist? This is just evil. Hamas needs to go.
@JoshuaPHilll Committing a violent crime and being imprisoned for it does not equal “hostage”. I think you meant to say “these are the violent criminals who were released today in exchange for the safe release of innocent civilians stolen from their homes”
Today, I have a question. A pressing question. For some Western feminists.
How can you remain silent, when women and girls are raped, tortured, their bodies carried around naked and spat on by bearded men shouting Allah Akbar?
Then you can never call yourself a feminist again.
Every day, including today, some Western hypocritical feminists should be ashamed of their silence on the horror that Hamas men inflicted to women and girls on 7 October.
And that includes big names we were once proud of.
Why are their lips sealed and their hearts of stone when it comes to the excruciating pain of Jewish women?
The MeToo movement and so-called intersectional feminists do not care about all women.
If they remain silent, it means they have lied to us about their commitment to women's rights.
Their actions support the oppressor, not the victims.
Also the EU money does.
Indirectly.
Those who say nothing about these women and the hostages, should not be standing here and speaking about human rights.
When you are under attack by terrorists, a cease fire is like raising your hands when you are being shot at.
Perhaps it is worth considering that a real lasting cease fire will start with bringing back all the hostages to their homes and the rapists to justice.
Assita
@Alyssa_Milano The spokesman for Hamas has said 4 times since October 7 (on news interviews) that he does not want a ceasefire. A ceasefire does not work if one side continues to fire rockets and hold hostages and the other side just allows them to.
If you are:
- reposting Jackson Hinkle’s posts
- using the word “Zionist” as a curse
- commenting: “do you have proof?” when presented with facts about October 7th massacre
Congratulations, you’re antisemite
