@gator_crusader@StoolGreenie Sure you kinda get rid of losing intentionally. It might not be as intentional but teams will completely not care about W/L after elimination. Creates the problem of elite teams winning the lottery and staying elite while truly bad teams have depleted chances of rebuilding
@gator_crusader@StoolGreenie So to summarize your solution:
✅Punishes losing intentionally
❌Makes teams care after missing playoffs
✅Punishes truly bad teams
✅Rewards mediocre and great teams
Just creates more problems
@gator_crusader@StoolGreenie You’re solution doesn’t change anything except they won’t necessarily be trying to lose. They just won’t care at all. Doesn’t solve anything
@gator_crusader@StoolGreenie Then it’ll be the exact same as the last 2 months of this season where teams that don’t have a chance at the playoffs aren’t trying / don’t care about the games. The problem is making all the games matter. Equal odds makes that a bigger problem. Once eliminated why play the games
@gator_crusader@StoolGreenie It doesn’t solve the tanking problem then lol. If stars are still sitting, teams are still not trying to win. Equal draft odds doesn’t accomplish anything besides punishing truly bad teams more
@gator_crusader@StoolGreenie That would just lead to more stars sitting out games at the end of the year. Why risk injury if there’s actually nothing to play for
@NEsportsfan2K @SavageSports_ Completely agree on the Red Sox but this is different. Our depth at center was the biggest hole in the roster. This is a 0 risk trade considering both are on expiring deals which makes me think they did it to try and win now. Simon’s was solid but Tatum will take most of his work
@NEsportsfan2K @SavageSports_ Buddy - Celtics just wanted a veteran big man for a playoff run. There’s no difference in the contracts, both expiring after this season
