The other day, I was explaining to someone why being a Kenyan football supporter means so much to me.
Take this video, for example. Hundreds of Gor Mahia fans have stopped in Mwea to buy rice after their match against KCB in Embu.
That is football contributing to the local economy in a very practical way.
Those fans may be buying rice, having something to eat, fuelling their vehicles, using transport, purchasing other goods or simply spending money in businesses along their route.
Multiply that by the thousands of fans who travel across the country every weekend to watch Kenyan football, and you begin to appreciate the economic ecosystem that the sport creates.
When we support Kenyan football, we are also supporting the livelihoods of fellow Kenyans directly and indirectly.
That is why supporting Kenyan Football matters to me..

Petty rich people are a joy to work with.
This case needed countless court attendances and mamen made sure it worked out so the guy who crossed him gets jail time.
Growing up in the village, I have helped move 3K FC from Division Two to the Kenyan top-flight league.
My ambition is to represent my country, Kenya, and wear the national team jersey.
