🚨 All hands on deck for the Special Election in MI-35!
Gretchen Whitmer should be ashamed of herself for waiting so long to provide the PEOPLE with representation.
Time to send her a message by winning this critical special election!

Disaster Assistance Resources:
Our hearts and prayers are with the communities across Southwest Michigan—particularly in Cass, St. Joseph, and Branch counties—devastated by today’s severe tornadoes. We are deeply saddened by the destruction of homes, neighborhoods, and local businesses, but we remain incredibly grateful for the swift action of our brave first responders who are working tirelessly on the ground tonight.
If you or someone you know has been impacted by these storms and needs immediate assistance, the following resources are available:
🔴 Michigan 2-1-1: Dial 2-1-1 or text your zip code to 898211 to get connected with resources for food, emergency shelter, and basic needs.
🔴 American Red Cross (Michigan Region): Call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit their website for disaster relief and local shelter locations.
🔴 Power Outages & Downed Lines: Treat all downed wires as live and dangerous. Report them immediately to regional providers like Consumers Energy (800-477-5050) or Indiana Michigan Power (800-311-4634).
We will continue to monitor the recovery efforts closely. Please stay safe, stay off the roads to allow emergency crews to operate, and check on your neighbors.
God bless Michigan.
Michigan's @TedCGoodman on the scene from Mar-a-Lago following an incident where an attempted shooter/arsonist was killed after breaching the inner secret service perimeter with a shotgun and gas can.

The Genesee County Republican Party issued a statement today alleging that Anthony Hudson made threatening remarks toward party officials and used language advocating violence against elected leaders. The party said it notified local and state police and disputes Hudson’s public claim that he was told he was unwelcome at party events.
The statement says public events are open to registered participants but that official party functions may require Republican affiliation. I have reached out to Hudson for comment and have not yet received a response.
Today, the Oakland County Republican Party headquarters in Bloomfield Township received an envelope containing a suspicious powdery substance. Out of an abundance of caution, staff immediately implemented established security protocols and contacted the Bloomfield Township Police Department. The scene was secured and appropriate safety procedures were followed.
This disturbing incident is the latest in a pattern of politically motivated harassment and intimidation directed at our organization. Over the past several months, our headquarters, volunteers, and elected officials have faced escalating hostility clearly intended to dissuade Republicans from carrying out our mission of advocating for secure elections, public safety, limited government, and constitutional principles. Let us be clear: these tactics will not succeed.
Chairman Vance Patrick condemned the incident and the broader political climate that fuels this kind of behavior:
“What happened today is unacceptable and dangerous. For months, Democrats and their allies have been recklessly raising the temperature by labeling Republicans ‘Nazis’ and dehumanizing their political opponents. That kind of rhetoric has consequences,” said Patrick. “When you constantly portray your neighbors as evil, you should not be surprised when unstable individuals act on that poison. We will not be intimidated, and we will continue standing up for the people of Oakland County.”
Senior Advisor Brian Szmytke thanked law enforcement and confirmed that the party is treating the matter with the utmost seriousness:
“We are incredibly grateful to the Bloomfield Township Police Department for their swift and professional response today. Their partnership has been instrumental as we continue to operate in an environment that, frankly, has become needlessly hostile,” said Szmytke. “Our security contractors and staff are pursuing this matter fully with local and federal authorities to ensure that whoever is responsible is identified and held accountable. No political organization or volunteer should have to face this kind of threat for engaging in the democratic process.”
Our office will remain closed through the weekend as we take steps to further harden the building against all manner of attack to ensure the safety of our volunteers. We remain committed to our volunteers, our supporters, and the broader community we serve. Political violence and intimidation have no place in Oakland County, and we call on all leaders to lower the temperature before further damage is done.

🚨 DEVELOPING: Major split in the MI-38 Republican primary.
State Sen. Ed McBroom and Reps. Greg Markkanen & Karl Bohnak have rescinded their endorsement of @RepJackBergman after Bergman endorsed Beau LaFave (@BeauMattLaFave) for Michigan’s 38th State Senate seat.
McBroom alleges Bergman previously indicated he would stay neutral — and further claims LaFave hired a consulting firm associated with Tony Lis, Bergman’s chief of staff.
McBroom and the U.P. legislative delegation support Dave Prestin for MI-38.

If I had a nickel for every time Mike Duggan made up a labor endorsement, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.
