The body knows. The brain tells stories.
New preprint: fascia and the interstitium form a continuous, body-wide transduction system that couples mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, chemical, and photonic processes across every scale from cell to organism. The nervous system didn't build this loop. It evolved into one that was already running.
The paper builds in four layers from documented properties through cross-domain couplings to system-level synthesis to strong hypotheses, each resting on the one below. 20 testable predictions. Falsification criteria for every speculative claim.
One thing that falls out: altered collagen in hEDS produces a parametrically different transducer, not a broken one. Autism, hypermobility, and shamanic-phenotype traits converge on the same substrate variation. Stimming and movement-based trance induction are the same mechanism. One is pathologized. One is sacralized. The substrate doesn't care which story the culture tells about it.
Core proposal: the cytoskeletal–fascial–interstitium continuum is a multi-domain transducer (mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, photonic) that produces embodied emotion as the felt quality of its own integration. The brain didn't invent integration. It refined it.

"The Fascial Transducer: An Ancient Substrate Beneath the Nervous System"
What if the body already had a sophisticated, body-wide integration system running before neurons ever evolved, and the nervous system simply plugged into an already-running loop?

@tazmics@JasonWilde108 Ah, my misunderstanding, I get you now. Precisely, Incompleteness Theorem must apply if consciousness is also being simulated, that rejection of OrchOR is incompatible with the simulation hypothesis.
@tazmics@JasonWilde108 The idea is that a property of consciousness is fundamentally uncomputable. It takes a Nobel laureate a book(Shadows of the Mind) to make the argument why, but it involves Godel's Incompleteness Theorem.
@MikeFrancoAR501@JasonWilde108 I believe this supports my position that conscious is primary, non-computable, and thus not somewhere in a chain of simulated universes. The world we inhabit is as real as anything can be, generated directly by our consciousness, which is more real.
The world is Maya. But consciousness isn't, it's fundamental. Not the background process on an arbitrary link on a chain of recursive simulations. The physical dreamworld we experience is as real as anything can be, with the exception of our consciousness itself. Physicality is the illusion. There is no physical base reality, pure undifferentiated consciousness is base reality.
If you're recursively duplicating consciousness in a computer simulation, Gödel's is at play by definition.
The world is Maya? Almost certainly.
Simulation Theory has it almost exactly right, but absolutely backwards.
@JasonWilde108 I'm siding with Penrose on this one. His track record is amazing; Webb observations of anomalously old galaxies starting to validate his comments on the cosmic microwave background and coherent signatures being observed in microtubule analogs.
@stepfanie This is going to come off as snark, but it isn't really. Cross dressing and foot-licking represents such moral depravity to you that you have genuine trouble reconciling it with journalism practiced with integrity? That's genuinely interesting to me.
@FrancisGeohara@BrightInsight6 the, in like the NEXT FUCKING BREATH saying that there is no way they could hide stuff because he works with too many people to keep something a secret 😂😂
@wakenminds There is a conspiracy here, but you're viewing it from the wrong end. The conspiracy was to divorce humans from an environment that represented our connection with the transcendent.
