@laneallenw Always wondered about running strip till ahead of the drill after we are done pulling sweeps and fallowmasters to have a place through the hardpan to plant the fall crops directly on top of that slice in hardpan to let roots through with full wheat residue intact
@591actual@ARuskCross What varieties do you guys like in low population? Guessing they have the ability to flex like crazy. In wheat stubble or continuous in corn or milo stalks?
@AMillershaski@BartParks A lot of people take a 23 row model and take the outer wings off, buy a couple extra row units and you can make it 20”@ksplowjockey
@ksufearless@NDfarmer81@ksplowjockey We took their concept we had on a 1985 F-150 and put it on major steroids to handle crew cab dually diesel bale beds with trailers lol. Just doesn’t have the spring loaded locks just manual pins
@ksufearless@ksplowjockey I’ve rolled all the scenarios around in my head… scared to pull everything on a pickup. If the pickup goes down I’m shopless… put it all on a nice service trailer/fuel trailer and have 2-3 pickups with heavy home built hitches so any which one could drag the shop on wheels
@ksufearless I’ve got an 04 duramax bale bed with a neutral on the transfer case… hoping to have a folding tow hitch built for it before drilling gets here. Just assume find another one crew cab just as the field shop on wheels and keep the bale bed almost strictly for cattle shenanigans
@ksufearless I’ve seen a bunch of driveline disconnects available online such as Remco. I’ve been waiting for someone else to be the guinea pig on it. Was mostly for people towing jeeps, suvs, and pickups behind their RV’s
@AMillershaski@luke_jaeger I’d like to find an 18-20 MY R series with ExactApply to add on See & Spray Premium with the PUK but then figure out a way to add another pump, boom line, and custom split the tank to be able to use it like See & Spray Ultimate to blanket coverage residuals and target spray in 1
@ksplowjockey@ksufearless@AMillershaski @LSimonAGRON @LucasAHaag Kevin Flax said his brother east of Garden City planted 18k religiously that would tiller like crazy if it could and break 100 bpa or was thin enough to survive. Can’t say I’ve ever planted under 32k on 30”.
