New version of The Models Resource just dropped adding an awesome 3D model viewer right into the website so you can now preview models without needing to download them!
Working on a game for too many years will drive you crazy. Far too often I stumble upon ancient code that I wrote in such a sloppy manner that it just begs to be refactored.
In that way, sometimes, it feels like I'm chasing my own tail ๐ตโ๐ซ
We desperately need videogame fans to start becoming art snobs. It's crazy how videogames are the only artform where older works are treated like they're archaic and unplayable. Including journalists, critics and game developers. Get pretentious! Get annoying! Treat it like art!
People are making fun of this and other CGs from early visual novels, but I think it points to the fact that VNs have always been underfunded + created not by โestablished career devsโ but by up-and-coming artists and writers who did their best and connected with playersโ hearts.
I have an overly ambitious idea for a VR game that I want to make someday. Seeing stuff like this certainly gives me that start-a-new-project itch ๐

The Godot community needs to kill the custom resources as savegames thing.
All the big tutorial makers back in the day found out about it at the same time, and within a single week, stopped recommending it because it was actually awkward **and** has security issues.
