Here’s the thing with the Dan Wilson discourse:

It’s not on Dan Wilson that Cal Raleigh decided to go to the WBC, skip ST, get 10 ABs for the month of March, and become the worst hitter in baseball.

It’s not on Dan Wilson that Josh Naylor swings at every first pitch and bounces out to the pitcher in 60% of his PAs.

It’s not on Dan Wilson that his roster was so poorly constructed that he had to rely on and keep running out Rob Refsnyder for three months.

However, it IS on Dan Wilson that Randy Arozarena continues to waste challenges in the 1st inning.

It IS on Dan Wilson that players are repeatedly talking about having attitudes in the clubhouse, needing to adjust them, etc.

It IS on Dan Wilson that he’s punting games down 2 or 3 runs by going to the mop-up relievers.

And finally, it IS on Dan Wilson that this team shows up every night looking like they want to be anywhere else but at T-Mobile Park.
