Mark Carney why won’t you listen to experts in the agricultural community on the issue of culling 400 ostriches on the Universal Ostrich Farm?

Livelihoods depend on their ability to raise and maintain these ostriches. 

The Liberal government failed to explain why this cull is necessary or why it won’t re-test. It must show Canadians why these ostriches pose a health and safety risk to humans and livestock that justifies the cull.

With the stay issued by the Supreme Court of Canada, we call on the Liberal government to ensure the CFIA is following its procedures, to work with the farmers to resolve this situation and protect Canadian agriculture.
