People are eating weeds because food supplies in occupied Oleshky, Ukraine, are all but exhausted, the BBC reports.

Some residents are eating only once a day; the town has no electricity, water, or gas, shops are closed, and medicines are scarce.

Leaving the town is also difficult, as the Russians have mined the roads and no humanitarian corridor has been agreed upon.

6,000 people remain in the town, including at least 200 children.
