Karnataka is set to ban the sale of junk food in and around schools to promote healthier eating among children. Pujyashri Shankaracharya Swamiji visited the Lakshminarayana Swami Temple, located on Shornur Road at Adithyapuram, Pallippuram, #Palakkad #Kerala
A unique feature of this ancient temple is that the deities in the Garbhagriha are enshrined directly above a sacred well.
Upon arrival, His Holiness was received with traditional honours by the temple authorities and devotees. After entering the temple, His Holiness performed pradakshina (circumambulation) around the sanctum and witnessed the deeparadhana.

🚨BREAKING: MAJOR U.S.–IRAN ESCALATION
The U.S. military has confirmed that two American service members were killed and one remains missing following an Iranian missile and drone attack on a U.S. base in Jordan. Four additional troops were wounded.

However, sources on the ground say the situation may be far worse than officially reported, with unconfirmed claims that as many as 16 U.S. soldiers were killed in this attack.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Department of War is reportedly preparing a major escalation, with large-scale military operations against Iran expected to begin soon.
The Jordan attack may now become the trigger for a significantly expanded American campaign against Iran.

Experiences with Maha Periyava: Periyava's super memory and knowledge

This story was related to me by one of my patients from Coimbatore. Sometime in the 1960s when Maha Periyaval visited Coimbatore, this gentleman offered poornakumbham as Periyaval came along the road. He told the Paramacharya “Periyaval may not remember but on the same road thirty years ago my father too offered poornakumbam to you when you came. Maha Periyaval said “Yes, but were you not living in the opposite house at that time, and not in the present house?” For such a memory, the word superhuman is an understatement.

Once by accident we overheard a history and geography lesson at Kurnool. We were standing outside one of the huts of the Mutt camp and could faintly hear a teacher giving lot of details about the people, history, religion, languages, customs and livelihood of the inhabitants of Cambodia and Thailand. We presumed that probably one of the Vedic teachers was coaching his son studying in high school. A few minutes later Maha Periyaval came out of the hut, and we learnt that He had been talking to Bala Periyaval who had been initiated into sanyasa just a few days earlier. We marvelled at the extensive knowledge of Maha Periyaval in so many different fields.

MahaPeriyaval’s wide knowledge and deep understanding of many subjects was phenomenal. Once when He was camping at Sivasthanam near Kancheepuram, we had gone there for darshanam. One devotee came and submitted a short printed summary of a Physics dissertation. He said he would be submitting the thesis to the Madras University shortly and prayed for Periyaval’s blessings for the PhD degree. It was a highly technical subject. Maha Periyaval went through the booklet of about twenty pages rapidly for a few minutes and put it aside and gave him prasadam. After some time when the devotee had gone away, He turned to me.

His Holiness: “You take this booklet, go to that tree’s shade, sit down there, study it carefully and then come back and tell me the gist of it”.

I took the booklet and spent nearly half an hour over it. I came back to Maha Periyaval.

His Holiness: Have you studied and understood it.

I replied: Yes.

His Holiness: “Then tell me what it is all about”.

I began to explain. After two or three minutes Maha Periyaval interrupted me.

His Holiness: “I do not agree with what you say. Are not the two statements in the second para on the first page and the first para on the fourth page contradictory to each other? Go and read it again”.

I was thunderstruck. I took the booklet to the shade of the tree again and read through it. I found that what Maha Periyaval said was absolutely correct. What discrepancy I could not find out in a scientific dissertation after studying it for half an hour, Maha Periyaval had detected in a couple of minutes in the midst of giving darshanam to several devotees!

I realized He was only testing me and may be very gently pricking the bubble of my ego!

The Universe is only an idea. It is the Heart that takes all these forms. That is called the Atman, wherein no ego or sense of personality remains.

Appar (a Tamil saint) was decrepit and old, and yet began to travel to Kailash. Another old man appeared on the way and tried to dissuade him from the attempt, saying that it would be very difficult, but Appar was obstinate. The stranger then asked him to take a dip in a nearby tank (reservoir).

Appar did so and found Kailash then and there. Where did this happen? In Tiruvayyar, nine miles from Tanjore. Where is Kailash then? Is it within the mind or outside it? If Tiruvayyar was really Kailash, it would appear so to others, but Appar alone found it to be so.

Similarly, other places of pilgrimage in the South are said to be abodes of Siva. Devotees have found them so, and it is true from their standpoint.

Everything is within; there is nothing outside.

The spirit wrongly identifies itself with the gross body. The body has been projected by the mind, and the mind itself has originated from the spirit. If the wrong identification ceases, there will be peace and permanent, unbroken bliss.

IS U.S. SETTING THE STAGE TO TAKE QESHM ISLAND?

U.S. strikes reportedly damaged six bridges overnight across Iran’s southern Hormozgan Province, including key transportation links near Bandar Abbas.

The attacks appear designed to disrupt supply routes and further isolate Iran’s strategically vital southern coastline.

One possible interpretation: Washington may be preparing the battlefield for an operation involving nearby Qeshm Island—or deliberately creating that impression to force Iran to divert troops and resources.

For now, there is no confirmation that a ground invasion is planned.
