@thdxr For me the show stopper with RDS was that each time a failover occured, the read replica needed to be rebuilt in the other region. It took 12 hours in one of my projects.
@Blitz_Stream@gchampeau Ça marche vraiment dans les deux sens ? J'ai cru comprendre qu'il s'agissait uniquement d'un moyen de contrôler un device de manière plus efficace qu'avec un clavier
@aashishkoirala@thdxr Adding the url's first and last letters (or any other combination) to the password won't make any difference in this case. Knowing this, I'm not aware of a more effective way of avoiding reuse with a O(1) cognitive complexity
@aashishkoirala@thdxr This still reduces the attack surface. The password manager is far less likely to be compromised than just one of the thousands of websites on which you reuse your password. This won't avoid your password to be stolen by other means though, I agree
@QuarkusIO Thank you @QuarkusIO for refreshing my wardrobe 😁 Do you know approximately when it will be shipped ? I will probably be moving in the next few month, not sure what address to use !
😱 AlphaTensor. 😱 This. Is. Huge. Reinventing matrix multiplication using Deep RL! Faster than Strassen's algorithm that has stood the test of time for 50+ years! 10-20% efficiency increase!
Imagine what that translates to considering how fundamental matrix multiplication..

New project: Just released redis-rope, a native Redis module that provides a new data type designed for storing large strings. It gives exponential speedups for string operations — up to hundreds of times faster.
Memory-safe, written in Zig, open source.

1/ Update on the new Next.js router, with support for nested layouts and React Server Components.
This is the biggest update to Next.js since it was released and incorporates many features from React 18.
We made a quick demo to show some of the features.
Stack Overflow runs nine (9) on-prem servers to host all its sites, and found that giving SQL 1.5 TB RAM was more effective than caching page fragments with Redis.
And it's a monolith 🚀
Awesome interview with @rla4 and @shanselman: https://t.co/ghLqKHWHqh
