@its_natclayton Really nice confirm into the super at the end there! Some of the super inputs are still really tricky for me, let alone confirming into them like that.
@NotBrunoAgain Yeah, it's really annoying. I really like the "everything works with/on iterators" pattern elsewhere (Rust, Haskell) but in Python it's a pain. Any complex chain of operations becomes an unreadable mess of reduce(filter(map(~))) and almost nothing *actually* works with iterators.
@jazzmickle It's wild! Most other card games would make "creatures you can also play as spells" a mechanic and leave it at that, but yugioh then goes five steps further and uses it to create the most wordy cards you can imagine. Looks hella cool though, I definitely want to try it sometime
@notquitereal Yeah, Mahogany Hall is a dead end as far as parabola goes. Your ambition might take you into parabola eventually (depending on which one you took), and otherwise it's just the lab experiment. Silverer gets you a big discount there!
@notquitereal Nice!! Getting a ship is a nice goal once you become a POSI - there's some fun stuff at zee. Completing a voyage of scientific discovery and then getting a laboratory is the route to a lot of the cool new content, and highly recommended.
@notquitereal Yep, they appeared around the same time the Viscountess disappeared. Before that, I waged war for her in Parabola - but I don't think that's necessarily related to her sudden disappearance or the stone pigs. I think we'll probably see more of her story in the future.
@notquitereal She had to leave my railway board of directors in a hurry once her term was over - presumably the Masters are after her. I've since encountered her again in my dreams while investigating a peculiar series of sand-choked dreams to do with the stone pigs. It's all very mysterious!
@mcclure111 @listelian God, I loved Terminal World - though I don't really remember much of the last third. I'm curious, which Reynolds books did you hate?
@notquitereal Apart from social actions, you can also get increases by spending favours on the revolutionaries, docks and tomb-colonies cards (not the most efficient, but quick) or by spending a trade secret (very expensive, as it's worth ~100 echoes!)
New Paper: The Social Responsibility of Game AI
As game AI research enjoys a historic moment of popularity and relevance, we argue that it is failing to meet the social responsibilities that come with this powerful new position.

So happy to have worked with these awesome people on a massive data analysis of machine vision devices in creepypasta at the #dmi20 summer school this week - amazed at what we managed to get done in such a short time, can't wait to develop it further (@Lokkij, @eveninkyoto)
@StanOntology There's two that have stumped me, and one at the end that sounds like Blackpink but I can't name. Great work, it sounds rad! (and the Lullaby instrumental is excellent)
@StanOntology I had a lot of fun picking songs out of the intro, here's my list: Lullaby, DNA, Ko Ko Bop, Limitless (the vocal fry, very sneaky), Very Nice, Fantastic Baby, Bang Bang Bang, Energetic, Gashina, Lucifer, Just Right, I Am The Best (x2), Dream Girl, Peek-A-Boo.
