BREAKING: Look at this.
On June 18, Trump bought up to $500,000 of Boeing, $BA.
That EXACT SAME DAY, the Navy awarded Boeing an $880 million contract for P-8A training systems.
Some of the current ministers in the Israeli government are certainly, objectively, as extreme and violent and genocidal as Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi was. To deny that is to simply admit that you’re an Islamophobe who only uses the terms ‘terrorism’ or ‘extremism’ to describe Muslims.
New York magazine says it decided that “genocide” was “an accurate description of the atrocities in Gaza, that accusations of antisemitic intent were in fact obfuscating an overwhelming scholarly consensus, and that its use would be allowed in our pages” https://t.co/XF5rlv58ga
I wonder if most American voters realize these companies are predominantly run by deeply cynical individuals that are used to the tech and business media printing their every word as gospel as a means of keeping you focused on the theoretical promise so you don’t ask questions
BREAKING: 🇺🇸 A US Treasury official says the government could use its General Account at the Fed to fund bond buybacks.
The Treasury currently holds around $935 billion in that account.
Unlike the original plan, this would not require issuing new debt to fund the purchases.
Drawing it down to buy bonds would inject cash directly into the financial system.
That is effectively money printing, not just a rearrangement of existing debt.
Historically that has been bullish for assets like crypto, gold and stocks.
Bessent's $4b buyback plan last week was like walking into a kitchen and asking for a cup of water to put out a fire in the living room. Asking for only a cup doesn't magically make people calm that it is a small fire; it makes them worry about the fire, and worry even more that your measly cup won't be enough to put it out. The difference is that in the bond market, their worry fuels the fire.
That was a big jump: $2b, $4b, $1000 billion...
But if they had a $trillion, why issue new bonds every week and then buy them back.
Sounds like Nvidia came up with this idea.
BREAKING: 🇺🇸 President Trump made over 1,050 stock market trades in June worth up to $263 million, per government ethics filing.
For contrast, Joe Biden made a total of 13 stock trades in his entire presidency.
@mehdirhasan If democrats don’t smarten up they’re going to fumble anothe election.
Dems are the reason Trump is in power. They ran poor campaigns with terrible insider candidates.
Don’t blame the voters. Blame the party for putting forward terrible voting options.
