@boseservice Since the speaker is less than 2 years old and the issue was caused during Bose’s firmware update process, I’m asking for an escalation, replacement, or a firmware recovery procedure, please I literally bought another one for this sole purpose, don't be that company
@BoseService charging it fully, and retrying the update from scratch. The speaker is detected by the updater, reaches 99%, then fails with: “Something happened and we couldn't finish the update.”
This strongly suggests a firmware/update failure, not user error...
Hi @BoseService. My SoundLink Flex Gen 2 powers on and works normally, but the Bose Updater repeatedly fails at 99%. I have already tried multiple USB data cables, different USB ports, different browsers, restarting Windows, removing Bluetooth pairing, resetting the speaker...
@BoseService they can do — on a speaker that’s under 2 years old.
A firmware update from a premium audio brand should not break core functionality of a product this recent. I have logs, screenshots, and videos documenting the issue.
@BoseService@Bose, one of my SoundLink Flex (2nd Gen) speakers stopped properly linking in Party/Stereo mode after a failed Bose firmware update.
The updater consistently fails around 99%, the speaker is still detected by Bose Updater, and support just told me there’s nothing...
