Guild of Freemen members Aldermen Alison Gorman and Nicholas Lyons were installed as Sheriffs today in the Guildhall witnessed by Court members Sir David Wootton, Neil Redcliffe, John Garbutt, Adrian Waddingham, Chris Hayward, Tim Hailes and Keith Bottomley
Seventy Guild members and their guests enjoyed a fun day at the Sheep Drive on Southwark Bridge today.
We drove the sheep over the bridge in groups of 10 and then had a tasty lunch at The Banker pub on the north bank of the Thames.

The 2021 Cart Marking ceremony was delayed until today due to Covid-19. It was lovely weather and the Clerk went to Guildhall Yard and took some photos of the lovely old vehicles, as well as The Beadle.

Yesterday the Guild of Freemen of the City of London had 3 Joining Ceremonies at Tallow Chandlers' Hall which allowed 50 new Guild members to collect their Warrants and meet the Master Mrs Ann-Marie Jefferys and other Court members.

Guild of Freemen Master Mrs Ann-Marie Jefferys hoping to raise sufficient funds to be let out of the Tower of London at last week's 'Jailed & Bailed' event. Satisfactory ‘bail’ was raised and she was freed!
In total, the Livery & Guild sector raised £45,810 for the Red Cross.
