New project @HomeOfCricket, Grace Gate. A lorry reversed into the gate & Portland Stone pier. We will remove the gate & stay, then carefully dismantle the stonework. We will repair & replace any damage, before rebuilding the gate pier & rehanging the gate.

In situ marble #handcarved lettering @CityofLdnSchool We took a rubbing of the existing letters to match the style & size, drew out the new design & transferred it onto the marble plaque. It was hand carved & painted in situ, matching the existing #lettering. #heritage#monument
June 2020. Repair & conservation of Northumberland Arch, originally part of Northumberland House, The Strand. When the house was demolished in 1874, the arch was moved and reinstalled in the Garden of Tudor House in Bow. #heritage#heritagebuildings#masonry
A lockdown project: Coming out of a #Grade1listed building, we had to repair rather than replace the capitals, in keeping with the original design of the structure. The original Portland stone capitals were heavily damaged, repaired with cementitious mortar #stonemasonry
We removed a thick concrete screed consolidated the original stone & brick core, supplied & fitted new steps, landing & threshold, matching the original Yorkstone with Manor Park. We repaired & refitted the original iron railings. #highgate
Using historic information from the West London synagogue archives, we were able to create a CAD drawing of the interior of the building.
We have now finished phase 2 of our conservation, cleaning and gilding work.
