It tracks that the group of people who thought they should be treated as VIPs (and use Uber to feel like they have a chauffeur, TaskRabbit and GrubHub and Instacart to feel like they have an assistant), don’t want to come into the office, demand compensation from perceived slights at work, want to work from home, want to work less than five days a week, want everyone to walk on eggshells around them because of all their “invisible disabilities,” have their parents subsidize their life, etc, would want socialism. The final step in their line of shrugging off responsibility.
I have yet to see someone who has worked hard for a living, regardless of income, advocating for socialism.

A key to understanding Leftists is the massive disparity between Leftist intent and Leftist outcomes.

Big Chief Lizzie Warren and Pete Boot-edge-edge proudly killed the Spirit/JetBlue merger, with the stated intent of maintaining consumer choice and holding down the cost of airline tickets.

As a direct result, now Spirit is dead, consumers have fewer choices, prices are higher than ever and ~14,000 people are without jobs.

Leftists base their actions on intent, because intent feels good emotionally.

Conservatives base their actions on outcomes, because outcomes are a logical basis for decision making.

Logic > emotion.

We are not the same.
