This is the Bobby we love to see. He's at his best taking on corporate corruption and entrenched interests. He pulled back from the spotlight after his confirmation last year, and I hope we see more of him. HHS has wins, both big and small, and he's the best messenger for them. Bobby's a rockstar and the leader of a movement. He has real leverage and power. His people aren't politicos in DC, but rather the farmers, the moms, the sick children across the country. I'm not what you'd call a keen observer of the political climate in our country, but I do pay attention, broadly, to what's going on within our two parties. Watching the latest from @billmaher, I was reminded of how we struggle to reconcile our support for an idea we might like, if it’s promoted by a politician we hate. And vice versa. Here though, we have an opportunity - Democrats, in particular - to speak out loudly and clearly against an ideology that has been proven, demonstrably, to be a really bad idea.

It’s alarming to see how quickly communism has been embraced by so many, but it's even more alarming, to see how many have yet to condemn it, in favor of sheltering under a “big tent.” This week, Gavin Newsom dismissed concerns over Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) and progressive candidates winning key primaries, stating he would gladly campaign for them. He argued that the party must be in the "addition, not subtraction business" to retake control of Congress.
Not that anyone asked me, but…wow. The candidates that Newsom is referring to here are not subtle. They have clearly articulated precisely what they want, and exactly what they will try to accomplish if they gain power. No borders. No police. No prisons. No Senate. From each according to his needs, from each according to his abilities, and so forth. They are literally quoting Karl Marx, and they are literally on the record as desiring to completely dismantle our government and replace it with actual communism. And the Governor of California says he will campaign on their behalf, if doing so will result in a Congressional win. Truly amazing.

Seems to me, that this is best opportunity Democrats will ever have to make some kind of reasonable appeal to Independents, and those not on board with this administration. This is a chance to affirmatively distance themselves from an ideology that has caused more human suffering than any other scheme dreamt up by man. And yet, they have not.

I understand how unpopular President Trump is in the eyes of many. But if the DSA continues to grow in popularity, and the Democrats actually campaign on their behalf, I think it’ll be the largest political blunder in my lifetime. Unless of course, I’m wrong, and the DSA expands to swallow the Democratic Party, and communism winds up on the ballot. In which case, Ronald Reagan’s warning will haunt us all.

The Washington Post editorial board accuses me of a conflict of interest that might bias me against Big Pharma, whose interests they apparently seek to protect. The alleged conflict comes from money I supposedly made from a settlement in a lawsuit against Merck for injuries caused by its Gardasil vaccine. The problem is that I never received a penny from the Merck Gardasil settlement, and neither has my son nor anyone else in my family.

Before taking office, I relinquished any interest in potential Gardasil fees back to the Wisner Baum law firm, which publicly confirmed this during my confirmation process. Yet @SenWarren, @Reuters, and @washingtonpost editorial board — in their ardor to protect Big Pharma — continue to push a false narrative that makes Big Pharma the victim and me the mendacious villain. They should correct the record — and spend more time examining the real conflicts that have long disabled the regulatory function of my Department, all of which I am now deconstructing.

I’m firing corrupt regulators and dismissing the panels formerly populated by heavily conflicted “experts.” We are dismantling the mechanisms of corporate capture that made this agency the sock puppet for the industry it was supposed to regulate. Why are Reuters, Warren, and WaPo inventing lies to besmirch the first @HHSgov Secretary in modern history to stand up to industry?

One of the main guilty acts of Fauci is not the claim that he got the COVID origin wrong at first. It's that he and his Lancet crew fabricated a certainty about COVID's origins they plainly did not possess -- due to entirely self-interested reasons (namely, their careers and reputations would be endangered if COVID had been caused by gain-of-function and other Wuhan research they funded and participated it).

They then weaponized that fake, deceitful certainty to label anyone who suggested a lab leak as a racist (which never made sense, since the "wet market" theory was always the more racist one), and then also used that non-existent certainty to bully and coerce media outlets and Big Tech to aggressively censor anyone questioning or dissenting from their proclamation.

The complete shutdown of debate, discussion and dissent over some of the this century's most consequential policies was one of the main crimes. That they did this not out of good faith error but crass self-advancement and self-protection made it all the worse.

Libraries refused to carry it. Every major newspaper declined to review it. YouTube took down videos of a book signing. Amazon shadow banned it. Twitter wouldn’t let the publisher promote it.

Despite all of that, 1.4 million Americans bought the book because they were tired of the lies and they wanted their freedom back.

Then today, with hundreds of millions of Americans demanding the truth, Fauci invoked the Fifth Amendment 111 times at his Senate hearing. The American people waited six years for answers. Today, they got silence. But that silence told us all we needed to know.
