@smashelito Your work is awesome, Smash. I have learned so much from you. . ... Also, NQ kept rolling to yet another ATH, while ES didn't. That divergence was another clue. It started yesterday and had to resolve in favor of one or other of the indexes.
@paxtrader777 I got this from @LindaRashke : "The markets are like a smorgasbord. You can go back and fill your plate at any time." I made it into a sign that is within eyesight whenever I have even a small inkling to chase.
@smashelito Thx as always, Smash. Doing prep work for wk & there’s an unfinished auction on footprint chart @ the Fri high/ATH. If it were to act as a magnet & revisit (maybe a LAAF) & reject fairly quickly w/o building volume, would it negate the significance of the excess high for you?
@j55x5c@smashelito Environments like this are frustrating. The historic price momentum from last wk. Delta weak. Order flow showing little signs of dips leaving revisit areas above. VIX above Smash's level. Negative headlines. But price doing its own thing. Like staring @ a rigged slot machine.
@traderkane This thread has been informative. Tried all of them. Was trying to see if Gemini could handle automated order flow commentary w/live cme prices and what I am looking for. It’s not capable; acts like it can accomplish your goals, but then spits out garbage. It hallucinates.
@traderkane Shorted it all the way down. Not. Seriously, I won't touch that mkt (20 yrs of trading various futures mkts). Forget the recent hot $$... That mkt is traditionally thin, always "feels" manipulated & the price moves ($25 a tick!) are erratic. I don't need that in my life.
@traderkane I decided to make the typo work for me. ... I'd love to hear the route to doing it. ... but short of that, I appreciate you rooting for me. Happy New Year to you too.
@BaldPanarin Would love to see Laba @ center, Parssinen on the left and Raddysh on the right. Laba better defensively & @ faceoffs than Parsinnen & does dirty work. Pärssinen big body & playmaking instincts. Raddysh shoot-first guy, would benefit from Pärssinen setups and Laba’s forechecking.
@vzmercogliano Vince, former magazine writer (never wrote hockey, but did some long form NBA / MLB/ NFL writing and edited a magazine in the 90s, 2000s ... my past life) Rangers have become a passion & I've always enjoyed your work. I love your ethusiasm & how you handle your beat. Congrats!
Kevin Warsh on @CNBC Paraphrasing: We don't need THAT price fixer dictating the cost of money. We need me doing it, because I am smarter and know better. How did we get here? How about a free market, not some appointed czars, determining the most important price there is?
@KobeissiLetter Recession has become a meaningless thing. Economy has been phony since QE. You can hold off “recession” for a long time by printing money / monetizing debt and passing off asset bubbles and government spending as growth, while the underclass grows.
@MinervaCap@LindaRaschke@grok I read an old book by a trader named Chick Goslin that used this strategy. 3-10 as the ST indicator, 3-10-16 as the MT indicator & 50 SMA for LT trend. If all three pointed in same direction, he’d ride the momentum. The 3-10 was for timing.
@paxtrader777 I had CNBC on as background noise and one of the anchors wanted to bet the other about the S&P finishing the day positive. That was probably the moment to fade the move.
@AnthonyCrudele Since the GFC, it's been the Fed juicing risk assets w/rate suppression & that balance sheet. If they keep the casino open & let inflation run (stealth pain over honesty), the bull can continue. . ..unless the bond vigilantes reemerge. I won't trade my gut w/them always lurking.
@paxtrader777 I went to micro contracts today in anticipation of something like this. Was a bad spot. Hard to short b/c it may have gone a little too far late yesterdy. But sellers in control. I've made an even smaller bit on the long side, but now sitting on my hands unless we get a break.
