The Organisation of African First Ladies for Development (OAFLAD) unites African First Ladies to use their voices and platforms in advancing health, education, women’s empowerment, and sustainable development across the continent.

Today, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, @OAFLAD launched the campaign #BuildingResilience of Women and Girls in the Face of Climate Change and Conflict, a powerful call to action to ensure that women and girls, who bear the greatest burden of the climate crisis, are included in shaping the solutions.

We as African First Ladies made pledges of commitment and I pledged to advocate for policies that address the disproportionate impact of climate change on women and girls, and demand a seat for them at the decision-making table to design and implement equitable solutions.
