@LuminanceMental @NateWorthington That may just be the issue…it’s America’s church and not Jesus’. 😬

[Rich Villodas @richvillodas]

We cannot define Christians simply as those who are awake while the rest sleep, but more cautiously as those who wake up in the sense that they are awakened a first time and then again and again…

They are thus those who, it is to be hoped, continually wake up.

- Karl Barth

@richvillodas Clearly, I think some of these folks misunderstood what you were saying lol. Nowhere did you say mega churches are bad or don’t preach the gospel. You’re saying that their perspective is that the gospel isn’t being preached because people don’t see social justice issues as gospel

@richvillodas Most times we think that God is more pleased with our gatherings and sacrifices than He is concerned with us loving others, showing mercy and justice. So many times in scripture He speaks about how He doesn’t desire the sacrifices and gatherings but to show mercy, love & justice.

[Lorenza Reed Jr @LorenzaReedJr]

@duaneericbrown @richvillodas He never said anything about there being a lack of love for your neighbor. Twisting words is a deceptive practice. He simply said our “right” to worship is not greater than having love for our neighbors. So many are going hungry, and the church can be functioning outside than in.

Growth is intentional. If we want to grow, we have to do what's necessary to grow. We need to ask ourselves, what are we doing to facilitate growth in our lives.

If you're always complaining because of a rain storm, it's because you don't have seed in the ground. If you haven't planted any seeds, stop expecting a harvest. #PlantSeeds #PlantersNeedRain

I believe that we are ALL made in the very image of God! You are NOT less than, regardless of your ethnicity, background, where you were born, etc., but you are very worthy. God declared humans VERY good. Be encouraged in that today.

Worship and honor could go hand & hand at times. You can honor something/someone without worshipping, but you CAN NOT worship without honoring. Just make sure that your honor of someone/something doesn't become worship. There's only ONE worthy of Worship! #KeepYourEyes
