A while back, @lotuseaters_com requested readers to send them an email answering a question about the West. My copy of Islander has arrived and, to my surprise, my response is the first entry! Super cool stuff guys, cheers!
@Johnnyfhive79@elonmusk@SpaceX You know Apollo had 11 test flights, none of which changed things as drastically as Starship? This is the 2nd ever launch attempt with these new engines
@GovPlaybook@elonmusk I would not expect that the 2nd ever launch with a new generation of engines would be flawless. If this was flight 13 with the V2 raptors? Maybe you'd have a point, but that is not the case here
@fael097@SpaceX@elonmusk You people do know that Elon isn’t personally installing and designing every single thing on these vehicles right? Everyone seems to act like he’s personally assembling these things lmao
@ENNEPS@NASASpaceflight On the bright side it looks to be basically just a cylinder with tanks in it, so it’s not full to the brim yet with complex hardware. Hopefully they can pump B19 out soon!
@SpaceX Third times the charm! For those who don’t know, if they were to try launch in windy or cloudy conditions, the turbulence of the air would either rip apart the spacecraft or push it too far off course, wasting fuel. That is why they have to be so picky on the weather
