At today’s pledging conference, Luxembourg reaffirmed its support for @UNRWA. We will provide at least €10 million annually through 2027 to help ensure vital services for Palestine refugees. It is an investment in human dignity, regional stability & the two-State solution
🇱🇺🤝🇺🇳
On World Refugee Day, instead of repeating cynical caricatures, we should stand with the agencies & individuals who provide vital support to millions of refugees every day, & continue working to prevent the wars & conflicts that force so many people to leave their homes.
Today is World Refugee Day. 🌍🕊️
Around the world, millions of people have been forced to leave their homes because of war, persecution , or violence.
Today, we reaffirm their right to seek safety and to be treated with dignity .🤝

Met with Deputy Prime Minister of UAE Sheikh @ABZayed during his visit to Luxembourg to discuss the geopolitical situation in the Middle East. I reaffirmed our solidarity with the UAE and other GCC partners during a period of regional uncertainty.
Diplomacy, dialogue, and respect for international law remain essential to restoring stability and preventing further escalation.
1/ How long will we continue to tolerate this kind of behaviour from 🇮🇱 politicians? Once again, it reflects a profound lack of respect, dignity and humanity among members of the government.
Diplomacy and dialogue are more essential than ever.
Today, I thanked our diplomats for their tireless and invaluable work, at home and around the world.
Had a good call with 🇨🇦 Canada’s Prime Minister @MarkJCarney.

Welcomed Lebanese Prime Minister @nawafsalam to Luxembourg today.
We discussed the situation in Lebanon and the region. Beyond the ceasefire, we need a sustainable and credible solution that upholds Lebanon’s sovereignty and stability.
Lebanon, like the wider region, needs peace.
Canada and Luxembourg have a growing bilateral partnership across trade, commerce, technology, and defence.
Prime Minister @LucFrieden and I spoke today about deepening our partnership in areas like satellite communications and establishing the Defence, Security, and Resilience Bank.
The war in Sudan is entering its 4th year, with millions of civilians facing a humanitarian catastrophe.
At the Sudan Conference in Berlin today, Luxembourg pledged at least €2M in aid for 2026.
This crisis must not be forgotten, & global action is more needed than ever.
Israel must stop its war on Lebanon🇱🇧, as innocent civilians are targeted and continue to suffer. We call on on all parties to implement the ceasefire between Iran, US and Israel, including in Lebanon : every chance for peace in the Middle East must be seized.
Spoke with Prime Minister of Lebanon 🇱🇧 @nawafsalam
I conveyed Luxembourg’s full solidarity with Lebanon and with the Lebanese people, who have been unwillingly drawn into conflict.
Lebanon’s sovereignty and territorial integrity must be fully respected. Civilians and civilian infrastructure must be protected at all times, in line with international humanitarian law.
De-escalation is urgently needed to avoid a further deterioration of the humanitarian situation.
🇱🇺 strongly condemns the destruction of key access routes into Lebanon, as well as attacks on civilian infrastructure in Southern Lebanon and statements threatening to destroy all bridges over the Litani River. We call on all actors to use restraint & avoid further escalation.
mom: "okay so you spend all this time building networks and gaining insights to then send a cable back to HQ... what does HQ then do with all the cables?"
