UPDATE: Officers from joint security forces are currently searching the residence of embattled outgoing Parliament Speaker Anita Among in Kigo.

As was the case in Nakasero on Saturday, the residence remains under heavy security cordon.

The operation is understood to be part of a President Museveni-sanctioned probe into the politician over corruption and other alleged offences that authorities are yet to publicly disclose.
