@IamAbdullah3887 @MusialaEra FIFA changed the times of these games from the normal WC match times, moving them to cater to Asian audiences, because they were complaining about times. The irony... we had those same times during the 2002 WC in Korea/Japan, our best performance, QFs, on at 2-4am ET.

@alfie_t8 Azteca hosted 2 World Cups before, and because of the heat & its elevation, both were mainly slow & boring.

There are definitely FAR better choices of venue in the US, but I'm pretty sure FIFA wanted the media capital of the world as the destination city.
