@lindaholmes My brother in law had a woodworking company in the 70s. Everyone in my family had 1, or 2, or 5. I had one from age 21-57. Moved it from Oklahoma to 2 houses in Massachusetts then to 4 in Connecticut and finally to North Carolina. Made it into workbenches when it was retired.
@JazzDeeApple@Karolina_Minoru@chron If the baby formula industry encouraged people to horde their product, despite no need of it, making it too expensive and rare for those with need of it and profited excessively on the misery caused, there would be justified moral outrage. But the gun industry gets away with it.
@JazzDeeApple@Karolina_Minoru@chron You mean in the era where industrial death barkers encourage even deranged folks to horde ever more lethal weapons and those who try to put the brakes on insanity are shouted down? We don’t give law enforcement a chance to survive then wonder why no one wants to be in LE!
I mean, let’s admit it, if you won’t vote, raise money, go to a rally, or shame a gun nut friend, you just don’t love your neighbor’s kid as much as an evangelical loves fetuses.
Truth: the problem with anti gun advocates is that they don’t have as much love for brown skinned 10 y/o’s in their own state as right wingers have about fetuses anywhere in the US.
See, it’s not hard. You just don’t actually care enough about children. And the GOP & NRA know it. They know it’s not quick and easy enough for you.
@theobserver Are Republicans actually conservative any more? Replacing an independent body with big government overlords, what’s next, activist judges on the court, storming the center of constitutional authority, restricting businesses from the free exercise of their conscience?
