My few cents on hobbit Arena Direct:

I've been excited and enjoyed every single Direct so far, it's been a privilege to play them.

Hobbit has been the worst experiences I've had in the past 5 years.

I don't understand how a 2 mana 4/4 uncommon passed the testing phase. With 1 mana 3/3 and 1 mana 10/11 (if you're lucky since you survivrd to see it that big).

Menace is everywhere, so every game turns into a race or a topdecking war since you can't put too many grindy cards in your deck. Even the rares boost the agression.

Toni Portolan was spectating mr playing my last 2 games of the Direct. I curved out in both of them. I was on 0 life on my turn 4 and turn 6 without attacking opponent once.
Every broken deck that you get, you're hoping the dice don't get rolled in this way in that run since there is almost no comeback mechanism.

70% of the games that I've won, I've felt sorry for the opponents because they were not won due to my great decisions in deckbuilding or in gameplay.

I've never made a post like this and I hope I never will again. R&D has been incredible in the past 5 years and they've just been improving and imprpving in the card design but everything that could go wrong went wrong in this one.

Silver lining is that I'm on a vacation until September 🙂

Another Dino in the room. He's one of the players with the old-school player's card.

Lots of his success comes from Arena, and he honestly might be the best Arena player out there.

I was a part of one of those Arena top finishes as we formed a 2-person team for Arena Championship 2.

During that time, I was highly impressed by his skill - I was losing most testing sessions, no matter the matchup.

He has the highest winrate amongst all the eligible players. While he's been around for a long time, he actually hasn't played that much, and has the fewest maches played.

I don't think JMM will make the HoF this year, but no doubt in my mind he would if he played a little bit more.
