I can’t believe this kid is still available. Jackson Gaffney is a 6’8” shooter/scorer that can play the 1-4. He had a few offers and plenty of conversations but nothing materialized yet. We are talking to schools and looking at other options but just dealing with D1 schools right now. Not interested in D2 or Juco.

My advice…… invite him in to play against your guys. He definitely don’t look like a freshman He’s very athletic for a 6’8 white kid. He also plays with and without the ball. I am willing to bet, he would start most school A10 and under. Call me

As a Houston area head coach, it’s extremely frustrating being charged $20-$30 at the door of each event when going to support our athletes on the grassroots scene. It can quickly add up to $60…$80…$100 in a weekend! I don’t remember it being this way back home in Dallas. I remember verified HS coaches and TABC members being admitted free of charge. Admission to our HS games are only $5 and we usually give free admission and a media pass to verified media and evaluators. If it’s truly about the kids and not the money and we want more unity between HS and grassroots, a dialogue needs to be had.🫤

Unpopular opinion (maybe): AAU teams on the major showcase circuits shouldn’t have more than 8/9 players. Travel ball is to showcase talent, and any number more than that deters that from happening . Now it just turns into a money grab.
