Here is @LoucaKD's work on the measurement and modeling of stresses in 3D, in double-edge-notched zirconium specimens subjected to cyclic loads.
Many thanks to @CHESS_user for allocating beamtime to this research.

2) Karim’s work on matching 3D-XRD results with those from our ESBD system is out. Here we show that we did not lose any grain during grain indexing and were able to accurately index most of the grain neighborhoods with 3D-XRD.

Zirconium alloys are widely used in the core of nuclear reactors. With using 3D-XRD, we show that the twins that nucleate at the early stages of plasticity in zirconium are nearly as stressed as their corresponding parents.

The World Health Organization has announced that dogs cannot contract Covid-19. Dogs previously held in quarantine can now be released. To be clear, WHO let the dogs out.
Kobe was a legend on the court and just getting started in what would have been just as meaningful a second act. To lose Gianna is even more heartbreaking to us as parents. Michelle and I send love and prayers to Vanessa and the entire Bryant family on an unthinkable day.
We are about to undock from the ISS. Another challenge is wandering around. With fear and pride, I am returning with Zayed’s ambition achieved. We are not done yet, and we will never be. To bring back the golden era of arab astronauts.
‘Loving Father, we pray for all those working with young people in our churches. Help them to impact their communities in dynamic and life affirming ways’
Received from one of my wonderful spiritual children. A powerful reminder for us to pray most for those we expect most from.
Feeling blessed!
Karim, my first MSc student, just defended his thesis: “Synchrotron X-ray diffraction & deformation". He is staying for PhD.
His research wouldn't have been possible without allocating beamtime to our experiment. Thank you @SoM_esrf & @jonwright76
