European football fans visiting America are discovering the mass affluence of the country’s suburbs. The wealth enticing holidaymakers troubles European elites. America, once a peer, seems to be racing ahead https://t.co/L3lw48WEwo
We’ve designed and built our first AI chip: Jalapeño.
Designed from the ground up by OpenAI and brought to production with @Broadcom, Jalapeño is purpose-built for the LLM workloads powering ChatGPT, Codex, the API, and future agentic products.
Chips are foundational to the AI economy. Building our own expands our full-stack platform from products to models to infrastructure, and will help us scale intelligence, serve more people, and expand access to AI.
$NBIS CEO Arkady Volozh said the company is scaling to hundreds of thousands & millions of GPUs
“How many companies provide hundreds of thousands of GPUs in a publicly available cloud? There’s the three hyperscalers and us.”
Nebius is building towards becoming a hyperscaler
All day using GLM 5.2. Didn't miss much. First open model that passes the bar as a daily driver. Things are not going to be the same.
Damn, now I want to buy some serious hardware.
$NBIS understood the next AI cloud architecture better than almost anyone.
Nebius built natively for a world where demand is driven by tokens and AI compute with owned racks, networking and GPU clusters instead of retrofitting general-purpose cloud infrastructure.
That’s why revenue is expected to reach ~$21B by 2028 with $MSFT, $META and $NVDA all tied into the capacity story.
MLPerf® Training 6.0 results are in: Nebius posted the #1 single-node NVIDIA HGX B300 times for Llama-3.1-8B and GPT-OSS 20B pre-training, and came within 3.1% of the fastest NVIDIA GB300 NVL72 results on all three benchmarks at 72 GPUs. https://t.co/sc4tgpWnpD
Tu t’appelles Nicolas.
Here's what's going on in AI right now and how it affects $NBIS:
1. People are realizing AI is expensive af
2. They're also realizing AI is insanely useful
3. And they're starting to see its evolution isn't slowing down. It's actually accelerating
This means demand is exploding while customers are getting incredibly price sensitive. Sounds weird, but the stance has shifted from "let's try AI" to "let's maximize AI efficiency, but with clear, documented ROI."
All of this is insanely BULLISH for Nebius.
Nebius wins in a world where customers, especially large enterprises, understand AI's use cases but are picky about which models they use for what, and want full control over their data and, above all, their costs.
It seems highly likely we'll end up with more models, more specialized models, not one god-model for everything.
Meanwhile, large companies like Anthropic are clearly pushing hard for regulatory capture.
Nebius has announced an investment of £1.7 billion to build out capacity in the UK with three new deployments of NVIDIA infrastructure.
The three new sites will deploy the latest generations of NVIDIA’s full-stack, end-to-end AI factory platform technology and combined will reach 65 MW when fully ramped up in 2027.
In addition to the capacity investment, Nebius is expanding its commercial and AI R&D hub in London and establishing local partnerships with universities and research institutions through Nebius Academy.
Arkady Volozh, founder and CEO of Nebius, said:
"The UK is one of the places where AI is being built, deployed, and adopted at the same time — by startups, by enterprises, and by the public sector. The work is happening here and the demand is here. And we are also here for the long run."
