Scala has incredible technical merit.

Right now, the single best investment the Scala team could do @scala_lang is developer experience, by far, bar none.

Dev tools, compilation speed, publishing tools, docs, frameworks, trained AI assistants, probably in this order.

For Scala to get the popularity it deserves, the effort invested in these vs language features should be 10:1.
